The Computer Science Department is running a pilot coding camp for girls ages 8-11.  This camp is for beginning coders.  The camp will be June 11-15 from 1 pm to 5 pm daily. We’ll start early on Monday at noon and have lunch with one parent.

The students will be learning through coding activities, both plugged and unplugged, have snacks, enjoy team building activities, get a fun tshirt, and more.  The students will have personal instruction from BYU counselors.

The cost is $50 per girl.  Students in financial need (eligible for free or reduced-cost lunches) can apply for a fee waiver to cover registration.   The costs of BYU Girls Code are subsidized heavily by generous gifts of donors and Qualtrics, the BYU Computer Science Department, and the College of Physical and Mathematical Sciences.

We are full for this year, we hope to do another camp next year. Check back then.
